The Britannia Arms in Aptos Village is one of a chain of "British" pubs in northern California. Its owner found us on a search engine and approached us with a view to establishing a presence on the Internet.

Our brief was to keep it simple, while at the same time showing the wide range of attractions the pub offers. With this in mind we decided that the best way to do this was by using a short video clip on each page.

A professional film company was enlisted to produce a video. This was couriered to us as a DVD. We first converted it to AVI and then to Shockwave Flash - the format used on the web pages. The resulting video was then edited to produce a series of short clips.

Next we contacted a local photographer to take interior and exterior shots. These images, along with the textural content, were sent to us by email.

All that remained was for our graphic designer to come up with a logo and we were ready to put it all together - a process that took a couple of days.

As a result of the success of this project, Truetype Web Solutions has secured the contract to produce websites for each of the other pubs in the chain.
